With just two weeks to go until The ABSA Cape Epic, Route 66 is a must if Epic is on your radar, and it’s perfect “Altitude Training”.
Planning for something else, such as The Leverage Corporation’s special 3-day stage race called The Investec Great Kei Trek taking place in the Eastern Cape at the beginning of May? Then the Luxliner Route 66 MTB Experience is a must-do in your training schedule.

Special Announcements
- All three days will now take place at The Mount Grace Hotel & Spa. Book a room, find a B&B, but logistically, much easier
- New routes and additions for all three days - time to visit the “Hurt Locker” every now and then
- Breedt’s Nek still part of the route - both up and down - This applies to the 3-day MTB Experience only, and not the gravel riders
- Route 66 will take place 2 weeks before the ABSA Cape Epic - your last training race.

The Sunday “Weekend Warrior” and “Junior Challenge” 45km Challenge
Weekend Warrior? We have the ultimate 45km challenge for you. A fun ride without the pressure of hectic cut-off’s and seriously technical trails.
The Junior category is also open to all Under-19 riders, and prizes will be awarded to the first 3 male and first 3 female riders.
They will be the 2025 Route 66 Junior Champions.
The Sunday “Solo” & “Couples Challenge”: 60km
Enter as a single rider, or as a couple and ride the 60km on Sunday.
Prizes include a 1-night stay at the Mount Grace Hotel and Spa for the winning couple.
The Sunday 80km Gravel Ride
Time or fitness levels not allowing you to be able to do a full 2-Day Gravel Stage Race?
Then join us on the Sunday for an 80km route.

Absolutely unbelievable and sometimes tough riding – some technical challenges and stunning scenery.
Be Warned! Stage 1 is not a walk in the park (especially with Breedt’s Nek (for 3-Day riders only) being part of the route on Stage 1 - We've also added an 80km gravel race on Sunday as part of the 2-Day Gravel Stage Race.
- Route 66 is a must if you love the joy of stage races and are looking to train for the ABSA Cape Epic, the KAP Sani2C or more importantly, The Investec Great Kei Trek, taking place in May 2024
- A professionally planned and managed route
- The Cog & Sprocket at Mount Grace will be selling food and refreshments

General Race Information
Entries close on Sunday the 23rd of February 2025 at 23h00.
Race Number Pickup
Race number pickup for local participants will take place on Tuesday the 25th of February from 12.30 to 17.00 – venue JoziGin, cnr Post House & Main, Bryanston.
For out-of-towners, Race Number Pickup will take place on race day at your start venue.
Late Race Number pickup:
Friday: 05.30 to 06.00
Saturday: 06.00 to 06.30
Sunday: 07.00 to 07.30
