Back by popular demand, it’sThe Bridgestone Route 66 MTB Experience and is, without a doubt, the most popular stage race in Gauteng. It’s back for the 11th year in a row.
But it’s not just about a tough 3-day race. We have 2-day races, for Hardcore and Light Riders.
We also have a 45km on the Saturday for the Weekend warriors as well as a “fast & furious” 60km on the Sunday. Read on to find out more…
The 3-day Experience is a must if you are planning to do Epic, Joburg2C, or The Leverage Corporation’s special 3-day stage race called The Great Kei Trek taking place in the Eastern Cape at the end of April in 2020. (www.greatkeitrek.co.za)
The Bridgestone Route 66 MTB Experience is a tough and challenging three-day MTB event taking place from Friday the 26th to Sunday the 28th of February 2021.

The Chauffeur Drive Service for Day 1 and Day 3 Continues
We will have a limited special “Chauffeur Drive” service where we have professional drivers take your car to the finish line on Day 1 and Day 3 on your behalf. The cost for this will be R350 per trip. You can book this when entering online.
Route 66 Lite: Race Overview
Here’s what to expect:
Day 1: 55km – starting at Kloofzicht Lodge in The Cradle and finishing at Happy Acres.
Day 2: 60km starting and finishing at Happy Acres.
Day 3: 60km burst from Happy Acres back to Kloofzicht Lodge.
175 km later - you're now ready for that post-race spoil. Kick back and enjoy a leisurely lunch, with our compliments, while you relax on the lawns at Kloofzicht and soak up the views in the peaceful company of family and friends.
As with the Route 66 main event, you have a choice. You can ride the 3-day (Fri-Sun), the 2-day (Sat–Sun) or just the 1-day (Sunday only).

Lunch for Day 3 at Kloofzicht is included in your entry fee. Lunches on the Friday and Saturday will be for your account.
Accommodation and personal tech support – you need to look after the logistics here and make your own arrangements.
GENERAL RACE INFORMATION
Entries close on Sunday the 14th of February at 23h00.
Late Entries: You will be able to enter late, but only at Rider Registration and Race Number pickup, and you will pay a Late Entry Penalty Fee of R350.
Race Number Pickup will take place onWednesday the 24th of February 2019. Venue to be confirmed.
If you would like to have a friend, partner, significant other join you for the post-race lunch at Kloofzicht Lodge on Sunday the 28th of February, the cost will be R190 per adult, and R100 per child under the age of 12.
You can purchase your meal ticket at Race Number pickup and registration on the 24th of Feb.
